Linksys WUSB300N Wireless-N USB Network AdapterWorks Great, Good Reception.
The last driver date is 12/04/2007 for the WUSB300N. I've install the driver even from the linksys site and that does not fix the problem. They even stopped supporting this product. this product is good if you just surf the web read mails and things like that. The speed is fine and all but not for my needs. When downloading large files from multiple destinations it can't handle it and will shut down. If you are a gamer/ hardcore downloader THIS IS NOT the product you're looking for. When playing online it will just stop working until you have to unplug it and plug it again.
Very good connection signal. I haven't gotten my HP Pavilion running XP to recognize it, but there may be other issuses (like the numerous other adapters I've previously tried on it). Installed easily on 4 other machines, mostly Win 2k.
Adding the wireless N router and adapters made a significant difference. Adapters were only about $26 which is a great price. Was using wireless G in a home network and having problems with sluggish speeds.
:DThe USB cables that it ships with are nice. The weighted desk standing base can be used for any USB device, so can double as a handy desk standing USB port for other USB devices. One complaint is that Linksys doesn't seem to have implemented the router push-button easy configuration (can't remember the official name for it) for use with the WUSB300N.
You don't even need to know how to spell WPA2. In comparison, Netgear's competing USB wifi N adapter (looks like a white shark's fin), with the latest driver software from the netgear website, asks if your router has a push button (my Linksys WRT100 router does) and was idiot proof from install to config to using.
This is a good product if you can get it to work. weighted desk standing USB base.
So if Linksys can: a) post drivers on the website, b) do what Netgear has done with the driver software, then this product will be user friendly as well as good.:o) 1) good luck finding the drivers, I had to look on forums and finally found one that would work on the non-US site.Once it's working though it does work.
You can either a) connect direct to computer USB port b) use short 6 inch USB cable c) use long 4 foot ().
